Please read the following policies thoroughly before committing to a service at Emerald Aesthetics.
Who We Cannot Treat
Under NO circumstances will we treat;
Anyone under the age of 18 (ID REQUIRED)
Pregnant or breastfeeding women
Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Anyone with a transmittable blood infection
Anyone undergoing or recently undergone chemotherapy or radiotherapy
Certain drugs and medications that may cause complications during or after the treatment
Anyone with an active coldsore
Those presenting with overfilled areas of dermal filler or migrated filler may be advised to get their filler dissolved before we will treat. Please contact us before your booking if you would like any further advice on this.
It is unusual for us to decline treatment however if you have not disclosed a medical condition or present with any of the conditions listed above then we reserve the right to charge 10% of the booking fee for the consultation time. In order to avoid this please contact us if you have questions or concerns relating to your treatment.
When booking a treatment via the booking system, a booking fee of 20% of the cost of the treatment will be requested as a non-refundable fee to secure your appointment time. (This excludes patch tests for laser treatments where the £10 treatment cost is required up front). We really value our clients however we are a business with overheads and rent to pay whether you attend or not. It allows us to practice from a clinic catered to a high standard for the treatments we carry out. The booking fee contributes to the cost of just being open or the other alternative would be to add a percentage increase onto our prices.
However as most people do turn up for their appointments it made sense that most of our client base shouldn’t bear the brunt of clinic losses for the minority that don’t attend or cancel at the last minute. We appreciate that it might not be your fault that you cannot attend; you don’t feel well, you’ve found out you’re pregnant, or you’ve simply changed your mind. No one pays a booking fee and expects that they aren’t going to attend, which we understand. BUT, that is the whole concept of the Booking Fee process, it provides us with a bit of cover as a business in the case of such circumstances.
If they are refundable, there is little point in them being taken in the first place.
Cancellations and Rescheduling Bookings
Your appointment is very important to us however we understand that sometimes clients need to change their booking. In order for us to accommodate this we respectfully request at least 48 hours notice before cancelling or rescheduling. You can reschedule your appointment once and the full booking fee will be transferred to the new time and date. You can move your appointment yourself via the booking app or alternatively contact us by email, social media, WhatsApp or phone call within working hours if you wish to cancel or move an appointment.
We recognise the time of our patients and practitioners is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time.
It is mutually understood that if a cancellation is due to circumstances beyond any control, such as a power cut, unfortunate incidence or extreme weather conditions that require you or us to have to cancel we will reschedule your existing appointment and no booking fee will be lost.
If you are late for your appointment we may still have to end your treatment at the scheduled end time if there is another client booked immediately after you. For this reason, you may be asked to reschedule. If you are more than 15 minutes late you will be asked to rearrange and will loose the booking fee. Please factor in busy times of the day for traffic etc to get to your appointment on time. We know that sometimes things are out of your control and factor in 10 minutes for such occurrences into the treatment time.
Children in the Clinic
Please make sure you have childcare in place for your appointment, we are not insured to have nor is it safe to have unattended children in the clinic.
A photograph will be taken before and after the treatment for insurance purposes which we will ask your consent for prior to treatment. We will always ask for your permission if we would like to use the photos for promotional content and we will respect your wishes if you decline.
Sick or Feeling Unwell
If you feeling unwell, please let us know so we can reschedule your appointment. Getting any of our treatments while sick is not recommended. Please respect and protect other peoples well being and reschedule your appointment accordingly. We have the right to refuse treatment in order to protect ourselves and the public.
You should not attend your appointment if you are experiencing signs or symptoms of covid-19 and the cancellation policy applies as above. Due to the track and trace requirements, we may need to share your details with NHS England. This is the ONLY 3rd party that we will share your information with.
A valid credit or debit card number is required at the time of booking, at this point the non refundable deposit will be taken, which is deductible from treatment.
We accept card, cash and bank transfer but we do not accept cheques or a pay later option.
Prices and Services
Prices and services are subject to change without notice. We will do our best to keep our clients updated with any changes that may occur and encourage people to ask about prices at the time of booking or check our website. All prices include VAT.
Skincare and treatments are non refundable. If you have paid for a treatment in advance that you no longer require you may transfer to another.
-All Gift Certificates are dated and expire 12 months from the date of issue.They must be used within this time, no extensions will be given.
-Gift Certificates cannot be exchanged for cash and are non refundable.
-We are not responsible if a Gift Certificate is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission and no replacement will be provided in these circumstances.
Emerald Aesthetics are not responsible for lost, broken or misplaced items within the premises. This includes vehicles left while you attend your appointment.
The time frames stated on our website for treatment outcomes and longevity should be used as a guideline only. There is no guarantee those treatments will last for the durations stated as it can depend on lifestyle and or how quickly an individual’s body breaks it down naturally over time. Several sessions may be needed to achieve your desired results.
Asymmetry due to swelling and bruising is a normal part of the healing process and is to be expected. Although we strive for the best results it is always possible for an individual to have a poor response from treatments .
Our fillers are charged per syringe. Any follow up appointments needed will be charged at the rate stated in our price list.
All procedures come with risks and possible complications. We make sure our clients are well informed of these before they consent to any treatment. We therefore do not, under any circumstances, offer a partial or full refund if any of these should occur. Any medical costs incurred will be the clients responsibility.
